                                      Programming for K-7 Grades


Sunday/Monday KDBB Program (Kindergarten through Seventh Grade): A framework for learning that seeks to nurture whole persons. Using the metaphor of a human body, whole-person learning is made up of four learning domains: Knowledge, Doing, Believing, and Belonging.


This center-based model integrates peer learning groups, technology, interactive components, and performance-based learning. Differentiated Hebrew reading groups encourage students to develop skills in Hebrew reading groups encourage students to develop skills in Hebrew fluency and accuracy that foster motivation and independence. Our students engage in Tikkun Olam activities and projects that support their understanding of their purposes in their communities and in the world at large. Each grade has a Family Education component, in which parents/caregivers and children become co-learners as part of the curriculum.

  • Kindergarten through Third Grade meet Sundays from 9-11 a.m.
  • Fourth and Fifth Grade meet on Sundays from 9-11 a.m. and on Mondays from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Sixth Grade meets Sundays from 9-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Seventh Grade meets Mondays from 6:15-8:15 p.m. and Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Flexible Weekday Program for Grades 4 and 5:

In addition to Sundays from 9-11 a.m., students sign up for a weekly, one-on-one video chat meeting with a teacher. Once the individual session is established, this meeting will take place at the same time, on the same day, each week. Each video chat sessions lasts 20 minutes. The emphasis of the video chats is on decoding skills only. Sunday sessions will focus on whole-person learning in the KDBB program (see above).
